ACPA-College Student Educators International (ACPA) and The EDU Ledger have again chosen UC Berkeley as one of the 2026 Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs. Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs is a national recognition that celebrates student affairs workplaces that are vibrant, diverse, supportive, and committed to staff work-life balance, professional development, and inclusive excellence.

Retaining its standing on the list since 2024, UC Berkeley Student Affairs is building on strong foundations stemming from the Division’s Strategic Plan priorities, which contribute to an inclusive culture that fosters trust, emphasizes transparent decision making, recognizes value, and creates innovative processes and systems.

UC Berkeley was selected as one of the best places to work across universities nationwide based on its focus on staffing practices and work environment. UC Berkeley rose to the top in categories such as family friendliness, salary/benefits and professional development opportunities.

UC Berkeley will be highlighted in a future edition of The EDU Ledger and at the ACPA26 Convention in Baltimore on March 31, 2026. Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Stephen C. Sutton will be on hand to accept this award.
