About the Committee
The Student Advisory Committee to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (VCSAC) offers an exceptional opportunity for interested UC Berkeley students to provide advice, feedback and ideas to Vice Chancellor Steve Sutton regarding student life and the co-curricular campus experience while helping to influence decisions concerning student services at Berkeley. Past meeting topics have included the enrollment management lawsuit, student professional development, free speech and student activism, student technology services, and career opportunities, and housing needs and housing development.
Membership on the committee varies depending upon the application pool of a given year. Students that are on the committee have the opportunity to interact monthly with the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and also have a great way to build their resumes. Participation on this committee provides invaluable insight into our student body and your voice will help to enhance the overall student experience. Meetings will be held monthly from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with dinner provided (typically on Wednesdays).
